Benefit Information sessions for new staff in payclass 1-8 are held once a month, on campus in the Pifer Room, Bremner Building on the first Monday of each month from 10:00 to 14:30. These sessions are compulsory. You will be required to bring your retirement fund and medical aid forms with you as the documents will be completed during the session.
These sessions cover the following topics which are of interest to new staff:
- Retirement Benefits
- Healthcare Benefits and options
- LIRA offering
- SADAG offering

New staff and staff joining the retirement fund and medical aid for the first time are encouraged to attend a session prior to or as near as possible after their start date at UCT so that they can make informed decisions with regard to the benefits listed above.
Benefit Information sessions for new staff in payclass9 and above and academic staff are held once a month, on MS Teams on the first Tuesday of each month from 10:00 to 12:00.
