Benefit information sessions

Benefit information sessions for new staff are generally held twice a month in the Human Resources Department. These sessions cover the following topics which are of interest to new staff:

  • Structure of the cost of employment (CoE) package
  • Retirement benefits
  • Healthcare benefits and options
  • Employee Assistance Programme

New staff are encouraged to attend a session prior to or as near as possible after their start date at UCT (preferably before the 3rd of the month in which they take up their appointment) so that they can make informative decisions with regard to the benefits listed above.

The sessions will be held in Room 116 in the Bremner Building, from 10h00 to 12h00. Please indicate to the Appointments Office on which day you are able to attend. The dates of the sessions are as follows:

3 and 9 January 2012
1 and 13 February 2012
1 and 12 March 2012
2 and 9 April 2012
2 and 14 May 2012
1 and 11 June 2012
2 and 9 July 2012
1 and 13 August 2012
3 and 10 September 2012
1 and 15 October 2012
1 and 12 November 2012
3 and 10 December 2012
